Argaka is a village which enjoys the breeze of the sea and which is “embraced” by a pine forest. In Argaka there is a large forest expanse which covers the uncultivated pieces of land, as well as several cultivations.According to the Community Council, almost every resident of Argakais involved in the cultivation of land. In fact, for most of them the cultivation of land constitutes a secondary profession, while only 5% of them deal exclusively with agriculture. The village is an area where cultivations of citrus fruit, vegetables, avocados, fruit bearing trees and mangos flourish. Olive cultivation is also particularly developed.The Excursion Site of “Agios Merkourios” and the “Mavralis” Park, which are maintained by the Department of Forests, add to the “images” of beauty one gets to admire in Argakawith the beautiful Cypriot plants and their wild vegetation.
